OTTOSDAL NIGHT RACE

AFFILIATION

The Ottosdal Night Race Race gets organized in
conjuction with the Diamond Marathon Club

NATURE OF THE EVENT

The event consists of a 42.2km, 21.1km, 10km and 5km fun run
All disciplines Start and Finish at the Ottosdal Show grounds.

1. Free entrance for athletes 60 years and older - only on 21.1km and 42.2km
2. Runners can only enter for one category
3. Athletes must wear a tag on the front and back which indicates their specific category - NO TAGS, NO PRIZE MONEY!!

RACE DAY - ENTRIES

Race day entries will be accepted at registration area at the following scheduled times:

Friday - 18h00 - 22h00
Saturday - 13h00

No penalties will be levied.
No credit cards will be accepted.

WALKERS

Walkers are welcome to enter any of the distances available. Please keep to the start times - no walkers will be alowed to start earlier.
Please identify yourself if you are a walker and want to qualify for prize money!

SUBSTITUTION/CHANGING OF DISTANCES

No athlete may run on another person's number. Authorization must be given in writing for any form of substitution. Your entry fee will not be refunded and the substitute will be required to pay an extra fee.

BAD WEATHER

The event will take place regardless of weather conditions. No refunds will be made.

ACCOMMODATION

Different options of accommodation will be made available. See accommodation

REFRESHMENTS

Refreshments will be on sale throughout the event. Please support our refreshment stands at the race!

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical support and standby will be available at Start/Finish

 

RACE RULES

  • ASA, IAAF and ACNW rules apply.

  • Runners must run in a predictable and responsible manner and obey all traffic rules, traffic officers and marshals.

  • Runners are to keep to the right of the road and are not to cross over the centre at any time, except where shown by a marshal/traffic officer.

  • No unauthorized vehicles will be alowed on the route - no seconding will be alowed.

  • Entrants must complete the course entirely under their own power.

  • All runners must wear reflective clothing

  • Bring your own safety pins.

  • Entry forms must be clearly printed and completed in full. The organizers reserve the right to declare incomplete or illegible entries as late entries.

  • Failure to comply with any of the rules may result in disqualification.

  • Participants who fall behind the official cut off vehicle travelling behind the field or who have not finished within 5 hours of the start must withdraw. Support services will be similarly withdrawn.

  • Age will be calculated as on the date of the Tour.

  • JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.

  • Entry fee is not refundable.

PARKING

Safe parking will be available under security surveilance. Secured parking areas will be indicated by men on boards.

WAIVER

Entrants and participants ("participants") in the Ottosdal Draf & Trap ("the Event") acknowledge that although all precautions have been taken by the organising body to ensure the safety of all participants, there may be dangers inherent in participation in the Event and activities related thereto. Participants voluntarily assume the risks of attendance at and participation in the Event and hereby waive all claims of whatsoever nature and howsoever arising in relation to the Event or otherwise against any parties, including but not limited to the organising body, the sponsors, the advertisers, any local authority and/or directors, employees, suppliers and assistants of these parties, including any individual, official, marshal or agent ("the Parties"). Participants hereby irrevocably indemnify and hold harmless the Parties against any liability and claims of any nature whatsoever and however arising (whether directly or indirectly caused and whether arising from negligence, albeit gross, or from the participation or involvement in or passage to or from the Event or otherwise) including but not limited to liability for delay, inconvenience, accident, death, injury, illness to their person, or loss or damage to property or costs and expenses sustained, incurred or put to by Participants and/or by any minor children under the care or control of Participants. Parents or guardians authorising a minor's participant in the Event which shall prima facia be evidenced by their signature on the entry form, hereby consent to such minor being bound to the foregoing and further indemnify the parties to extent, if any, to which such minor is not capable of waiving his/her rights as stipulated above.
